Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands on method of enhancing and evaluating the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
CST is a non invasive, subtle but powerful approach to healing. With a combination of listening and intuition the practitioners role is to sense any irregularities or restrictions within the systems of the body. The practitioners role is then to compliment the clients own healing process and help release restrictions within the bodies tissues. CST treatment not only effects us on a physical level but also emotional one sometimes aiding the release of emotional trauma trapped within our tissues, especially people suffering from PTSD.
CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
